POTABLE WATER DIVING
East West Dive & Salvage are able to conduct cleaning, maintenance and repairs to water storage facilities Australia-wide. Cross-contamination is a major concern for operators, our potable water equipment is dedicated to drinking water supplies only. To ensure there is no contaminated/potable water cross usage, our equipment is not compatible; Superlight 17’s and compatible suits and fittings are utilised for contaminated environments and Superlight 37’s and 47’s and compatible suits and fittings are utilised for potable water. In addition to this unique equipment type, we have strict decontamination procedures in place.
We are able to conduct works in most storage environments, including reservoirs, tanks, water towers, dam walls, restricted access, confined space and underground storage facilities. The tasks include:
- Vacuuming, debris removal and general cleaning
- Dredging to clear and locate inlets/outlets
- Installation of pneumatic plugs to isolate inlets/outlets
- Valve repair, servicing, changeover and maintenance
- Leak identification and liner repairs
- Replacement of grates, covers and blanking plates
- Repair, maintenance and installation of safety structures including ladders, handrails and rescue systems
- Installation of floating pontoons and jetties
- Rock revetment works
WATER STORAGE INSPECTIONTANK VACUUMING
East West Dive & Salvage regularly undertakes water storage tank cleans and vacuums in pre-treated and potable water storage facilities and fire tanks. We have fabricated a pump which covers a larger surface area to maximise the efficiency. All works are conducted with a four-person team all with ADAS accreditation to ensure we are compliant with Australian Diving Standards. Vacuum can be conducted as a standalone operation or as part of clean and inspection.
WATER STORAGE INSPECTION AND VACUUMING
East West Dive & Salvage is available on short notice to conduct vacuuming and inspection of water storage facilities. Our experienced dive team can inspect and clean pre-treated and potable water storage facilities, including tanks, reservoirs and earth basins. The client will be provided with live surface feed video and recording, still images and a complete report detailing the inspection finding. The diver will report on the condition of liners, existing repair, covers, water intakes and trash screens. The use of divers means that minor repairs and debris removal can be completed in conjunction with inspection and may reduce ongoing maintenance costs. Vacuuming can be conducted as a standalone operation or as part of clean and inspection. The diver operated vacuum head is designed to cover a larger surface area to maximise the efficiency of operations.
